Dave Fowler

     about:

     Dave was born: May 8,1956. @ Smokeyhill A.F.-Base: Salina Kansas. Which was renamed: Shilling A.F.-Base. A year later, when  I was born there. I'm Dan: his brother.

     Our folks, were: Jim Fowler, of Harrisville N.Y.! & Nettie Musick: of Abilene, Texas.

     Dad was in the Air Force, 10yrs: and a Staff Sgt., @ SAC-Air Command.

      We lived in Elba, N.Y.: till the late 1960s. Then came to Las Vegas, Nv.: for Mom, a hot dry climate.

     We worked with dad, doing tree work & firewood. Even after we got out of the Military, ourselves. I went into the Marines: just to be different. & Dave, went into the Army National Guard Reserves. Which he seemed to really enjoy!

     While I tried different types of work, Dave was happy: just to work with Dad. & Dave was no slouch! Where me & dad would cut & deliver 1-cord of wood, in a day! Dave would cut & deliver 2-cords, by himself. & go back, for a little extra! He was an Animal: when it came to working! Ha! But? That's just, the way he was! What A Great Guy!

     Dave left 3-children, all in their mid to late 30s, I believe. James, Jenny, & April! & He was married only once. From the mid to late 1970s, till just recently. In the past year or so, I believe!

     In his last few years, he was not well. Just physically drained: from years of hard work & a failing marriage. & sadly, he was hit by a bus: @2:40am, on April 25th. Just 2-wks. shy, of his 61st birthday! What a Tragedy!

     & since the National Guard wouldn't bury him? We scattered his ashes, @ Mt. Charleston. On July 8,2017. That is where he used to Love, Going To! Especially during the hot summer months!

     When we were growing up? No-one touched me, but him! He would protect me, Always! Tho we would scuffle, now & then. But never, seriously! & like wrestling a Grisly Bear. Ha.

     I will miss Dave, Always! But? I know, he is with mom & dad: in Heaven. We lost mom & dad, too! Dad died: oct.1, 2013. Just a little under a month, after his 80th birthday! & mom died: Jan.5, 2017. Just 2-days, after her 83rd birthday.

    I plan to move back to New York: July.27, 2020. That was our original-home. And I intend to fulfill, Davids-Dream: for-Him. Of going, Back-Home.
